05-05-07    OMG!!! It's nearly 15 months since I updated this page.......yikes, I can't believe where the time has gone, such alot has happened. Where do I start????? Well, I ended up doing a stint back in Brugge for Jabil, then moving onto Fujitsu Telecommunications in Birmingham, where I still am, with alot of my friends from Marconi. Seems that alot of us ex-Coventry people have migrated to FTel. I've still been taking lots of photo's everywhere I go.....

15-01-06    Stop Press!!! Finally got the java code sorted for my photo gallery, look HERE . It's taken me quiet a while to sort it out, but we're up & running now, so I'll be adding photo's daily for a while. I'm off to Brugge tomorrow (the 16th) for a job interview, back in the Phillips plant......

08-01-06    Wow!!! It's 2006 already...Where has the year gone??? Happy New Year to you all. 2005 was not such a good year for me, but it looks like 2006 will be better, much better I hope. A quiet Christmas here at Dad's, I cooked dinner & it was pretty good if you ask me. The stir-fried (yes...stir-fried! e-mail me for the details) Brussel Sprouts with Walnuts went down very well, the Turkey was excellent, moist and full of flavour, thanks for that must go to Gordon Ramsay. The Girls came up for a few days after Christmas, went to alot of shops! Spent a VERY cold 15min's on the beach at Crosby one day, there was even frost on the sand! It felt about -30 in the wind!

19-12-05    My god! A month has passed since I last updated this!!...yikes. I'm a little dumfounded as to where the time has gone, I don't think I've been that busy. Today passed off quite well, it was 'our social group' Christmas dinner today. Went to a pub in Rainhill called the Manor Farm, a pretty good meal, spicy parsnip soup gets a big thumbs up, me thinks I'll be having a go at making that. The notable highlights of the last few weeks are, drove my car up to Liverpool from Mum's, a walk & picture taking session on a unbelievably warm afternoon in West Kirby & an interesting exploring walk around Wet Earth Colliery at Ringley. Oh..yes & another afternoon taking pictures of the Gormley's on Crosby beach & by god it was cold! I'm still working on the 'online' photo album, but I have made some progress recently, got the online storage component sorted anyway.

22-11-05    The last week has passed me by really, the weather has deteriorated and just has not been inspiring. Mum came up on the train on Wednesday, so Thursday we went shopping for a new PC for her, which proved successful. Friday we drove down to MK to see the girls :-). Came back via Mothers' to set up her new pc. Stayed there overnight & completed the journey home on Sunday.

12-11-05    An odd couple of days, Thursday was a bit of a non-day really, didn't feel like doing much although I did go down to the Holt to meet the gang. The weather didn't help much either, very dark and rain on & off, not inspiring at all. Spent most of the day playing around on the PC, although not actually achieving much. Friday, a better day, bright sunshine & blustery when I got up. Dad & I decided to run a few errands & go for a walk around the Culcheth area, which is an area we'd be interested in for a while. Got absolutely soaked when the heavens opened, we were about as far as we where going to get from the car & in the most exposed place :-( However, it was a most interesting walk & we got to have a closer look at something interesting. Today has been spent tatting around not doing a great deal, although I went down to PCWorld late this afternoon to collect a wireless card for Mother's new PC (well, when we get it, it will be!!).

09-11-05    Busy day today, went to the Theatre to Annie Get Your Gun, which actually was quite good. Went into Liverpool on the train met the guys at Lime Street, had lunch in Weatherspoon's & on to the theatre. Thought the first half (or more like two thirds, you realise at the end), was a little slow & thin. After the interval, things picked up, some better songs & a better flow to the story. Not a fantastic show, but still worth a seat.

05-11-05    Just got hold of the new Kate Bush album Aerial, details HERE, wow it's fantastic! Have been a Kate Bush fan since hearing The Man With The Child In His Eyes & Wow way back in the late seventies, this album is definitely worth the 13year wait. I especially like the duet with Rolf Harris, yes ! Rolf Harris, The Painters Link the tracks called. Anyway, get yourself a listen to this album. Went over to Widnes/Runcorn to watch the fireworks this evening, the rain stopped & I took some good photos ! Miracles!!

04-11-05    Woke up to more pouring rain again :-(, went into St.Helens to do a few errands, got soaked! Been playing around with the server this afternoon, got it to run a local 'intranet' and moved my web files to it, also got remote desktop working & remote administration too!! I'm getting good at this..-)lol

03-11-05    A quiet day again, terrible weather loads of rain! Winter is here.....

01-11-05    Went out on the bikes today, cycled all the way from Waterloo, past the Gormley's at Crosby & on up the coast to Formby. Weather was cracking, bright, sunny & quite warm....it's Nov 1st! Took some good photo's of the beach. Came back to Waterloo on the train.

31-10-05    Have got the server sorted & installed, got lots more music now & a surfeit of disk storage space :-)

28-10-05    Well, got back from MK late'ish on Thursday afternoon, no too bad really. Stayed a couple of nights at Mum's and went to see my grandparents on the way back too. Will most likely be spending the next day or so setting up the server I bought back up here & recovering some data off a trashed disk.

24-10-05    Went out taking some photo's up around Runcorn & Western Point yesterday afternoon, a few good ones I think. Getting myself worked up a bit about going down to MK this week to see the Girls.

22-10-05    Here we are again, the weekend....What have I been doing? Thursday, the usual trip down to The Holt, to see the crowd, planning our trip to the theatre in a couple of weeks time. Then I decided to take myself off up to Pex Hill to take some snaps, the clouds were looking very good, got some good frames, even if I do say so myself -). The rest of the day was spent playing around building a DVD slideshow of my buildings pictures, think it's come out quite well actually :-) I'm afraid Friday turned into a non-day, rain tipping down when I got up and not feeling so great. In the afternoon ended up going back to bed with a migraine, just couldn't seem to shake it off. Did get up for tea though and felt much better after eating. I was up quite late last night (as a result of sleeping all afternoon) and have now got to grips with playing radio streams in iTunes and 'smart' playlists. So far today, letter writing & form filling this morning, followed by playing with Dad's new toy, a HP printer/scanner/copier....easy peesey really.!!!

19-10-05    Where did the last couple of days go..??? Well, Sunday we went off exploring round Liverpool, mainly Sefton Park & Toxteth. Took some good pictures of the Palm House in Sefton Park & a few of autumn leaves in the graveyard of the Ancient Chapel in Toxteth. Monday was another non-day, although I did cook dinner....yummy! Yesterday, Tuesday, Dad & I went into Manchester on the train. Mainly to go & see an exhibition of rock photography, by a guy called Mick Rock, in Urbis which was very interesting and has given me some ideas. We also paid a visit to the Art Gallery, there's an interesting exhibition of pictures chosen by the poet Benjamin Zephaniah. I need to get my finger out & sort out my photo's page......soon :-)

15-10-05    Didn't do a bustin' lot today, not feeling at my best :-( Spent some time this afternoon playing with my webstats, will post details tomorrow.

14-10-05    Out on the bikes today, Dad & Me went exploring again. Parked the car at The Catalyst Museum in Widnes & set off on the bikes over the Runcorn Bridge & along the Bridgewater Canal. A very interesting ride, out to Norton & Norton Tower then back along the Manchester Ship Canal. Found where the Vyrnwy Aqueduct goes under the Ship Canal & the river Mersey & some other rather interesting features. All in all covered about 15miles on the bike & am now completely cream crackered!!

13-10-05    Well another trip to the CAB office, felt a bit on edge, but at least we got to talk to someone today! But the outcome was yet again, come back on Monday to make an appointment to see the specialist adviser. This afternoon went down to the Holt, met up with the usual crowd, ended up going to Taylor Park in St. Helens for a very pleasant walk around the lake in warm sunshine and its well into October! Took my camera with me and snapped a few good shots, watch this space for my photo's page. Spent the rest of the evening after tea playing some more with JavaScript, got some pop-up images to work (after some fiddling..huh!), SEE HERE.

12-10-05    A quiet 'ish day today again, did some letter writing & form filling this morning, all boring stuff. This afternoon spent a lot of time trying to get the hang of JavaScript, grrrrrrrrr :-( Got there in the end, notice the nice new date stamp and greeting on the FrontPage? Good ehh?? ;-) Jane my very nice CPN came to see me later on.

11-10-05    Well, a good morning really, visited the Doctors to check the blood pressure all ok. Went to the Hospital to see the Consultant, all ok, go back in six months. Then went in search of the local CAB office....huh! No where to park the car and come back on Thursday... :-( Not so good. Spent the rest of the afternoon playing with FrontPage & this web.

10-10-05    Quiet day..."Nothing Important Happened Today". Started reading a new book, California Girl by Jefferson Parker (SEE HERE), not too sure what to make of it yet, we'll see how it develops.

09-10-05    Right. felt good to have updated web at last. Finished the book I was reading last night (Enigma - Robert Harris HERE), a very good read, very topical to Milton Keynes. It's also been made into a film. Recently, I also read Archangel by the same author, which was shown as a drama earlier in the year on BBC1. Travelled over to Crosby late this afternoon, to take some pictures of the sunset over Another Place. See inside for detail.

08-10-05    Been putting it off for I don't know how long, got round to starting to update this web, watch this portal... ;-) Made this page in to a Blog & added an "About Page" to the web, to clean up the front page, it's HERE. I'll try & update this each day.

Sept - 05    More exploring with Dad, see inside for full details of trips.

Aug - 05    The Girls have been up to stay for a week. Dad & Partner off on holiday, Oz, New Zealand & California, a busy schedule!! Mother here to look after me.

July - 05    Getting settled in, new consultant, new medication......Busy adding music to iTunes for my iPod. Exploring more of the area with Dad, including a trip to Another Place by Anthony Gormley at Crosby, more info HERE. Bought a new digital camera for myself, starting to get to grips with it.

May - 05    Afraid another bad patch catches me out. Best if I move to Dad's, here in Liverpool, so he can look after me.

Mar - 05    Discharged from Hospital, much thanks to all at The Campbell Centre, Milton Keynes General. Slow progress being made. A special thanks to all those friends & family who helped me through the worst.

Jan - 05    Admitted to hospital, not a good start to the year... :-(

Dec - 04    Finally, nearly two years after being told, made redundant. Got a 40gB iPod Photo for Christmas from Paula & the Girls, SEE HERE.

Sept - 04   Seconded to Livingston, Scotland, to help out in the Marconi & Agilent workcells.

Aug - 04    A Year in Belgium!!!!

Aug - 03    The last week of my supposed employment, asked to go to Brugge, Belgium to help set-up/run line moved from Coventry. Most likely for 3 to 6 months.
